The Chaplin Collection Vol. 1 DVD is out on 1 July for Region 1 players. Does anyone know when it will be released for Region 2? I am a foolish man without a multi-region player.

The new Chaplin versions were mastered on and prepared in PAL. The NTSC version is a conversion. If you have a PAL system it should be better for these films.
If you are in the USA and putting PAL discs through the built-in converter in a DVD player and then through an NTSC receiver, NTSC will probably look better. Warner Bros' converters are likely better than yours.
