New Easy Street info.

A recent photo was found by Rick Schmidlin while working on 'Greed' at the Von Stroheim estate. In the handwriting of May Jones von Stroheim on the back of a 'Easy Street' photo is the inscription 'Erich Jr. three months old' The photo is of Chaplin holding the baby in the opening church scene. Erich Jr. was born Aug. 1916. The filming of this scene was Nov.1916. May Jones worked at that time a studio seamstress and was Von Stroheims second wife,

No he passed away some years ago but Erichs second son Josph von Stroheim is alive and well. He is the son of Erichs third named Valerie. I heard that he interviewed by TCM for a promo on the new version of 'Greed' to be presented on Dec.5.

Oh great! Yet another reason to mix up those two. Now there's a connection between the *other* von and CC. *And* there are two Erichs and two Joes, too.

Next, somebody's probably gonna tell me that Joe the elder had a son named
