Madacy Collection II

I have finally acquired this set, which is selling in some parts of the country at Best Buy at a discounted price. Best Buy is also selling a smaller set called Best of Chaplin, which is cheaper but not so complete, and overlaps with Collection I.

I haven't had a chance to review all of II yet, but what I've seen is a definite improvement over Collection I. While the music isn't optimal, it seems to have been selected with more care, particularly on some films, than the hideous stuff used on most of Collection I.

The quality of the prints from which the transfers were made is fairly decent. While the print of _Work_ does have unnecessary voice over, the quality of the print is well above average

Thanks for the information. This will definately be placed on my list for Santa.

I was wondering others' opinions of this version of 'Work'. I was surprised to find that I actually liked the voice over! Maybe it was the way it was done, but I found it even helped to follow the plot. I was a little disappointed that they chose to use a non-silent version, but it did seem to 'work'...no pun intended!

Well...it was a step up from the music on the first Madacy set!! ANYTHING was better than that!
