However, in Victorian England where he grew up, using your left hand was looked upon as being simply a 'bad habit'...and people were forced (literally) to use their right hands. Even today, left handed people tend to be more amberdextrious than our right handed counterparts, simply because we HAVE to be. They don't make things like left handed chainsaws, cameras, etc. Even when they do (like musical instruments) they are hard to find and cost twice as much. So either you have to flip them upside down or learn to play with the opposite hands.
