I recently attended a taping of Make Me Laugh in LA, and it was an entertaining evening. There is a new host and they had four comics there. One of them was so on the edge that I overheard someone saying that they may have to bleep him for T.V. Cathy Ladman, who I love was there and a comedian I remember from New York City.
His name is Stan Taffel and he was so incredible. He made a contestant laugh ( as well as the entire audience ) and he did it without saying anything that some might think as filthy. Just very clever. He is an impressionist and must have rattled off over twenty of them in a minute. He used to be with an improv group in New York called Noo Yawk Tawk. He could do anybody's voice, even people in the audience and during commercial breaks, he would break up the studio audience. I said hello to him after the taping and he was very happy that I had remembered him from the improv days. If Make Me Laugh continues to have F U N N Y people like him and Cathy Ladman on, I'll watch. ( Stan has a website: he won three emmy awards for a show on public television. If you care to see it,
