Hi all I am a big fan of Charlie Chaplin. I didn't get the grade I wanted in college 'cause I watched City Lights the morning of the Exam, I just couldn't get him outta my head. Not that he's to blame. I should've revised instead.
Anyway, last Christmas I bought myself a beautiful red, pink and white, My Autobiography, Charles Chaplin - 1966, with a load of newspaper cuttings from '62 to '64. But recently I thought, it hasn't got the events after his Autobiography was first published which I think was in '64.
So, I don't know whether I should buy myself a biography about him. I would really like to read about his life after he wrote his Autobiography. How he felt when he won the Honorary Award at the Oscars, what went on during A Countess From Hong Kong, when he was Knighted by Queen Elizabeth II, and the disgusting kidnapping of his body. But which would really piss me off if I bought a Biography, is if the writer criticises him in anyway. I can't stand critics, they make me shake, and make me bad tempered.
If anybody could help me out I'd be most grateful. Thanks for reading this letter..
