Hello Jools,
Thank you for writing us with your question. It sounds like you have a rare piece of movie history there. Education and patience are going to be the best tool in order to fetch the best price for your item. Fortunately you've come to the right place.
With the very little information you have given, it sounds like what you've most likely got is either a re title or a repackaged Chaplin film. Enclosed in my article listed here entitled
DO YOU HAVE A PRECIOUSLY UNDISCOVERED CHAPLIN FILM
are some examples of what I mean>>>>

previously-undiscovered-charlie-chaplin-film-100.html
The first clue is the production company listed at the beginning of your film. Chaplin worked with only four production companies in his lifetime (excluding the cartoons that he licensed out).
1. Keystone
2. Essanay
3. Mutual
4. United Artists
This means that if the film does not list any of these companies at the beginning, then it is a re title or repackage. Meaning that the film or film clips fell into the hands of another company not associated with Chaplin at all. This is very common with Chaplin films but a very important distinction with Chaplin historians and collectors alike.
The second giveaway is the title. Since it is not a known Chaplin title, that only leads one to the conclusion that it is again, either a re title or repackage. Here is a list of the known Chaplin films.>>>

What does this mean to you? It does not mean that your film doesn't have value, but because collectors and historians are so protective of Chaplin and his works, it just means that it wouldn't carry the same value as say an original or especially a lost or previously unknown Chaplin film.
In any case, I urge you to read the above article so that you may better understand what you have in order to have a more educated opinion as to it's value, because as you know, you are going to have to properly identify your film before placing it's value. An explanation of what I'm talking about is provided in the above article, so If you can provide me with enough information, I can usually identify your film in a matter of seconds or minutes.
I need to know first though;
A. What color or type coat is Chaplin wearing?
B. Who is his leading lady? What does she look like?
C. Is there a music score with the film?
D. Does Chaplin's name appear at the beginning of the film?
E. What's happening in the film? Describe the first three scenes for me.
There are many questions like this in the above article. I hope to hear from you soon, and please keep me updated with your progress.
And feel free to place your film up for sale on our site as we are in the process of growing into the largest go to site for all that is Charlie Chaplin and that includes the buy and sell of Chaplin films and memorabilia around the world. What that means you you is that more people will see your film up for sale on this site than any other site out there, giving you a better chance at fetching the price you want.
Peace be with you,
