Does any remember a documentary aired in the early 1970's on PBS narrated by Gloria Swanson? Thanks, Jim F.

I have a 16mm print of one narrated by Keenan Wynn (A Character is Born) and there was another narrated by Doug Fairbanks JR (Funniest Man in the World), but I dont recall a Gloria Swanson one from that period.

It's called THE ETERNAL TRAMP (a film by Harry Hurwitz), and *was* available from Fox Video.

It's The Eternal Tramp, made by Harry Hurwitz, and for my money it's one of the very best of the early documentaries, relying on all PD material without benefit of access to 'official' materials from Chaplin's personal archive. Fox Home Video made it available about 6-8 years ago as a companion to their Legacy of Laughter series on VHS. I'm sure copies can be found on the net.
