Well, apparently, the 'Clash of the Titans' isn't over, so I move this topic out of the thread:

Crooner:

<<Before Marlon arrived, we ran A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE. Oona & Charlie had forgotten how brilliant Marlon was. They awaited his arrival with bated breath.

The meeting between Marlon & Charlie was held at the Savoy. Brando was like a schoolboy in front of Charlie. He loved his films, especially CITY LIGHTS.>>

Lou, thanks. Clearly, Chaplin was impressed by Marlon's talent (one performing genius recognizing another) and Brando's behavior was appropriately deferential and light-hearted at this key first encounter.

Nevertheless, I cannot see any cross-over between Ogden Mears and Stanley Kowalski.

An overgrown, overaged schoolyard bully a Titan?

And while I confess to some cellulite, I don't think my proportions are quite Titanic.

Tom should simply stop trying to manipulate and discredit other people and get back to his FAQ

At least then he was doing something useful.
