Hey Guys:

As a history buff, I've been looking around for a copy of a 1927 film called 'The Rough Riders' - all about Teddy Roosevelt and the charge up San Juan Hill. I've been told, or have read, that it's lost film,' but I also recall seeing recently that a theater up in NYC (was it MOMA?) is either going to, or just has, screened it in public, so it can't be THAT lost! Any of you guys have a copy that you'd be willing to dub for a trade of some of my silent stuff?

It's lost; only a small segment of it survives. The MOMA ad was in error, although it got a lot of people excited over the possibility that a print had been found.

This was just recently discussed over in alt.movies.silent.
